Partners Consulting improves business processes for leading construction company with Oracle Identity Manager solution
Overview:
Zachry Construction Corporation is a privately-owned construction and industrial maintenance service company located in San Antonio, Texas. The massive and complex structures built by this organization and its subsidiaries are located from coast to coast, and include power generation plants, chemical refineries, retrofit air quality control systems, highways, bridges, dams and more. They also construct U.S. embassies and other specialty projects throughout the world.
Problem:
Competing for business against public companies, Zachry often faced the question of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance during the Request for Proposal process. Although as a private company Zachry was not compelled to be compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley 404, they recognized that there was a very real risk of losing business to public companies that could meet that standard. In addition, The Zachry Board of Directors and IT Management adopted the SOX standards as a best practice, following the lead of other companies already going down the path to compliance.
Solution:
Zachry engaged Partners Consulting to integrate the Oracle Identity Manager into their operation, giving them a scalable, expandable system that was intended to assist with SOX requirements starting to appear in their RFP responses to prospects. In the process they also eliminated manual processes for provisioning, de-provisioning, certification and attestation that were both time consuming and prone to errors.

provide expert advice, oversight, and monitoring, and reporting on the issues enabling the organization to make decisions that were best for its needs at appropriate times throughout the project.

- Processes were re-engineered using best practices for efficient provisioning and account request use cases
- Custom-built an efficient and scalable web service to achieve integration with the legacy HR system as the authoritative source
- Developed a connector to specifically handle provisioning to a “composite account” where account data was stored in three separated storage mediums
- Leveraged our breadth of enterprise infrastructure experience to design a solution that would fit “inline” with their Active Directory requirements
